Block of puff pastry

A laminated, buttery pastry that puffs into many crisp, flaky layers when baked, used for pies, sausage rolls, tarts and pastries.

Keep it cold right up until baking and handle it minimally, and bake at a high temperature so the layers puff before the butter has a chance to melt out.
