Cornmeal

Ground dried corn used to make cornbread, polenta and as a coating for a crisp, gritty texture on fried food.

Sprinkle a little under pizza dough or bread before baking to stop it sticking to the tray, and cook polenta slowly, stirring often, to avoid lumps.
