White pepper

A milder-looking but often sharper-tasting pepper than black pepper, made from ripe peppercorns with the outer skin removed, useful where black flecks aren't wanted visually.

Use it in pale sauces and dishes where black pepper's specks would show, adding it towards the end as its heat can taste slightly different from black pepper.
