Course: Cake and biscuits

Recipe Ingredients

  • 100g softened butter
  • 50g caster sugar
  • 150g self raising flour

Recipe Instructions

1. Pre-heat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4.
2. Lightly grease 2 baking trays.
3. Put the butter in a bowl and beat with a wooden spoon.
4. Gradually beat in the sugar and then mix in the flour.
5. Using your hands bring the mixture together forming a dough.
6. Form the dough into small balls (16) and place well apart on the prepared baking trays. Slightly flatten each biscuit.
7. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 15-20 minutes until very pale golden.
8. Life off the baking trays and leave to cool on a wire rack.
