Recipe Ingredients

  • 225g soft margarine
  • 225g caster sugar
  • 275g self raising flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tblsp milk

Recipe Instructions

1. Pre heat oven to 180C/Gas 4.
2. Grease and base line a 30 x 23 cm roasting tin.
3. Measure all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and mix well for about 2 minutes.
4. Turn the mixture into the prepared tin and level.
5. Bake in the pre heated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the cake has shrunk from the sides of the tin and spings back when pressed in the centre.
6. Leave to cool in the tin.
