Vanilla

A warm, sweet, floral flavouring (from the vanilla pod) that rounds out and enhances other flavours in cakes, custards and desserts.

Add it to wet ingredients before mixing so it distributes evenly through a batter, and use pods, extract or essence according to what a recipe calls for.
