Method

These fresh and flavourful fish tacos feature lightly seasoned fish, crisp salad, and a creamy avocado salsa, all wrapped in soft tortillas for an easy and satisfying meal.

Step 1: Prepare the Fish

Pat the fish dry with kitchen paper.

In a small bowl, combine:

Paprika
Ground cumin
Garlic powder
Salt
Black pepper

Rub the fish with the olive oil, lime juice, and spice mixture until evenly coated.

Step 2: Make the Avocado Salsa

In a medium bowl, combine:

Diced avocado
Chopped cherry tomatoes
Red onion
Coriander
Lime juice
Salt
Black pepper

Gently mix until combined.

Set aside.

Step 3: Cook the Fish

Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

Cook the fish for 3 to 4 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until golden and cooked through.

Transfer to a plate and allow to rest for 2 minutes.

Break the fish into large flakes using a fork.

Step 4: Warm the Tortillas

Place the tortillas in a dry frying pan for 20 to 30 seconds per side, or warm them in the oven for a few minutes.

Keep covered with a clean tea towel to stay warm.

Step 5: Assemble the Tacos

Place a layer of shredded cabbage and lettuce into each tortilla.

Top with the flaked fish.

Spoon over the avocado salsa.

Step 6: Serve

Arrange the tacos on serving plates.

Serve immediately with lime wedges for squeezing over the top.
